Hi, I am very dissapointed with this Buffalo Device :( I have installed latest Firmware right after first switch on.
LinkStation is connected to Thompson ADSL router I've received from my provider. I didn't change anything in connection preferences from any device
Please help
I would reflash the firmware. It could have been a bad flash. Second, is the video folder inside the folder that is selected in the media server options? I also think that the network issues could be the firmware. Is the switch on tha back set to on or auto? It should be on on if you want the unit to be on all the time.
Hi, thanks for reply
Yes, the swich is always set to "ON". Video folder is inside Media Server folder together with all others.
I've changed IP address allocation from router to Static from DHCP - - have no access to device since early morning.
How I can re-flash the device? Can you give a link to some manual?
MM
You can follow FAQ 2 of 5. You just need to follow the part where it shows you how to get into the debug settings and then Choose do not check version and force update. Here is the link to your manual.

Short question before I start - are there any plans to release new Firmware in the nearest future? Maybe I will just wait?
Yes actually. We are Quality testing a new version of firmware. Once that process is complete the firmware will be released on our website in the downloads section.
Great, then I will wait for it. PLease add to you test cases mine.
BTW I just have re-flashed NAS to 1.37 - seems OK so far - will chck stability but Web interface is much better now
Do not close the thread - re-flashing didn't help at all :( Less then 1 day uptime. I have switched off allservices except bit-torrent this time and there were no problems so far. I think I have localized possible problem - Link Station was lost for connections within network after I switched off media player (WD live) with paused movie opened from LS share. Could be a reason?
MM
Yes it could be. The same thing happens when you pause a movie on the PS3 and turn off the ps3.
Aha. Would it be fixed?
I do not know for sure at this time, but I will note this case and pass it on, just in case.
Are there any ideas how I can fix the devise - I still loose it each second day even not playing any files from it
So far worst device ever bought :smileymad:
How it could be fixed would be to not pause the movie and turn off the system. Just stop the play back when your done and then turn off the sysytem.
Now I do not run or play anything from LS device - only BitTorrent working. And it crashes once per day approximately.
So lame
