RAID is not a replacement for a backup! Here's why.
It's possible but I'm leaning towards a corruption occurring within the boot partition of the device. Try doing the force firmware update with the "Rebuild Partition Table" option checked. Please note that this will format the drive but this is the only other option I have to get the device working. If you need data recovered I would recommend seeking out 3rd party data recovery specialist before performing this step.
I bought Linkstation Live LS-CHL1.0TL few days ago, but i have the same problem after to try upgrade at vers. 1.12.
I readed all topics but I didn't result. The version of LS is V2.
Can i see it? From NasNavi I don't see the LS.
I followed step 2 and 3 to TFTP and force firmware, but on the program LSUpdater.exe (vers.1.56) is not able the function Update and don't find the NAS. It explains this error "Linkstation tath needs updating wasn't found".
Someone can help me!!
The previous firmware was 1.31.
after around 2 years i finally got chance to have another look at this.
i did the tftp boot stage, changed my ip back to auto, flashed with the 1.06 fimware and it works great!
