Hello!

I have a client with a Western Digitial MyBook Live NAS who cannot open Office 2010 files directly from her wd2go.com login. Whenever she does, she gets a password prompt and it fails to allow her to open the files. She CAN copy a file to her laptop, work on it, and upload it back to the NAS, but she wants to work on Office 2010 files just as she does on her LAN. She can open pictures, PDF docs, and videos just fine without a password prompt.

Are there any Buffalo NAS devices that can do this remotely? This link suggests that buffalo has the same problem as WD: http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/Cloudstor-saving-issues/td-p/70338.

I called Buffalo tech support and they suggested looking at YouTube videos. I have not found one yet that shows them using Office 2010/2013 to directly open, edit, and save any Word or Excel docs.

Any help is appreciated!

Gregg

Can't do that.  Gotta load it in the client before you open it.
