WBMR-HP-GNV2
« on: January 30, 2013, 04:28:08 AM »

Hi. I have the above router which keeps dropping the connection and will not re-connect automatically. Ihave the PPOA settings set to Keep Alive with the default 20 secs redial. I have to switch the router off and on to reset each time which very anoying and time consuming. Any ideas please.

Regards

get rid of the router! this is a known issue. just google it and you'll find plenty. surprisingly (or rather nor), buffalo are not doing anything about it and denying this problem exists. i got rid if mine and have draytek now - very happy.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I did google the problem and came up with a previous suggestion from yourself. I changes the PPPoA to PPPoE and VC to LLC. I did this the morning of 31/01/13 it is now the morning of 02/02/13 and it hasn`t dropped a connection or mabe it has reconnected. Anyway at the moment it seems to have solved the problem. I don`t understand what the settings do but if it works I will go with it. Thanks for your help.
