No available LinkStation is found
« on: July 24, 2009, 09:42:16 AM »

Hi all

I tried to install my LinkStation (LS-CHL26E) but when running the installer I receive the error message mentioned above.

LinkStation properly connected, no blinking lights, firewall disabled etc.

The weird thing is that if I access the LinkStation through the Webbrowser, 192.168.2.5 in my case) I can log in and I see the LinkStation.

I have also added the MAC address in the network list as I maintain this list manually.

However I cannot install LingNavigator 2.0 due to the error message.

Any help is much appreciated

Chris

It sounds like it is still a firewall problem.  Try safe mode with networking.  Also what anti virus software do you have?

Thanks a lot for the hint!

Installation in safe mode worked fine and all features are available. However, back in normal mode, I can se the installation, but I cannot access the drive (neither through the explorer nor through the Nas Navigator)

Any idea?

What kind of firewalls/antivirus software are you running?  Do you have an option to set certain permissions for different devices on them?

Also have you tried accessing it via \\IP in the run command?  You should be able to.  If you can you could just map the drives (right click on the share and go to map network drive).
