I'm wanting to see if anyone here has a Linkstation pro duo and a Panasonic tv working together... who has a similar problem and managed to fix it.
I stream files from my Linkstation NAS to the Panasonic TV with no problems. My issue is that after I put a new file into the folder that the TV sees, it takes ages for it to update the file. Sometimes I just give up waiting for the TV to refresh and come back to it the next day. It's always there after a long wait time.
Is there a way to manually update/refresh the library so the TV sees it straight away?

In the GUI you should be able to look at the properties for the DLNA server and refresh the database.

I know what a GUI is but sorry... how do i access the GUI?
-
If you installed Nas Navigator, You should beable to see the unit within the software. Right click and go to settings. If you have not install the software. You can access with the ipaddress. Do you know how to get the ip address?
-
How embarrassing, I don't. Would you be able to step me through it?!
-
The easiest way to get the IP address and access the GUI would be through NAS Navigator. It will detect the unit and display the address. It also allows you to access the GUI by right-clicking on the unit and selecting "Settings" from the popup menu.

Go download Nas Navigator --> http://www.buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/download/nasnavi-274.zip
Save the file, once download is done extract the file, double click on "NASNaviInst" to run the installer. Once the software is installed. The program will automatically open up and scan for units. You should see yours on the list. Right click on your units icon, and go to settings. Default login the following:
Username: admin
Password: password
Once In the Web Admin interface, navigate to [Extensions] - [MediaServer]. There should be a option to refresh the data base there.

OK got it setup now with NAV Navigator. I'm looking at the settings in 'MediaServer' If I change the refresh interval setting to 2 minutes (from 60mins)... will this make a difference to performance or have any negative effect?
Or better to just click on 'refresh now'?

Better to do refresh. It would mostly have a neg hit. as the system would be checking every 2 mins which uses resources.
