LS-WXL/E Web Access login failure

I have a LS-WXL/E which I'm having problem accessing the Web admin interface. The unit is functioning fine, I'm able to access the shared folders, uTorrent etc, just that I can't access Web Access page, it says invalid username or password.

 

I've upgraded the firmware to v 1.40 & during the upgrade process I keyed in the default password and it works, however after the successful upgrade, I'm still unable to access the Web Admin interface. Please advice.

You could try the reset process which is:

 

You can easily bring your LinkStation Quad back to factory settings with the following steps.

1. Hold down the power button for 8 seconds. The LinkStation will shut down after about 30 seconds.
2. While holding down the function button, press the power button. The LinkStation will power on and the function LED will begin to flash blue.
3. While the function LED is still flashing, hold the function button down for six seconds.

If that doesn't work you will have to follow FAQ 2 of 5 to try and reflash the firmware.
