Good afternoon!
How to enable IGMP for IPTV on this router ?
And, the main question is - how to forward IGMP/IPTV to wi-fi connection?
And the second is forward to lan interface...
In 'User friendly' it does-not work and i install 'professional', DD-WRT.
But it's does not work too!
Symptoms:
1. On lan, IPTV working in 3-5 seconds and then hang. Other connection hangs too.
2. On wi fi, IPTV has packet loss, loss of frames, the picture is all in coloured squares.
Other connections, such as file transer, are hangs or too slow (hundreds kb/s). On 802.11n-connection!
3. Anyway, router hangs (100% loading, can't serve any incoming packets!, ssh drop connection) until will not be turned off IPTV-player.
I did the following steps:
1. Disable multicast filter and SPI in security
2. On network interfaces all seens as ok, MULTICAST enabled on br0, ath0, eth*.
3, Checking iptables - IGMP packets will not rejected
4. In process, all is ok, igmprt working with standart config:
quickleave
phyint eth1 upstream ratelimit 0 threshold 1
phyint br0 downstream ratelimit 0 threshold 1
phyint lo disabled
phyint eth0 disabled
phyint etherip0 disabled
phyint ath0 disabled
5. I try build latest igmpproxy with toolchain and result is the same as above.
And result is not good.IPTV not working.
H.E.L.P....
Does anyone have working IPTV (IGMP) on WiFi ?
What's the version of firmware and settings you use ?
Are you still on dd-wrt firmware?
Yes.
I have try original buffalo dd-wrt 14998 and latest dd-wrt 15962.
Results is the same. All working correctly but IGMP not.
With "user-frendly" 1.76 i check all setting, enable WMM, QoS, Multicast with 'Auto' settings, disable any filters/security
put "Movie engine" ON/OFF in all combination, but nothing happen.
Device in "router" mode, of course.
No LAN and no WiFi IGMP work anyway and no udp packests from 239.0.0.0/8 on they interfaces.
As I have seen so far nobody has been able to configure correctly IGMP on this router :-(
On dd-wrt forums can't help me too.
Which build number of dd-wrt are you using, this will matter in me trying to help you, and don't worry, i don't care if you are using the un-official buffalo dd-wrt, kinda hoping you are using it actually.
DD-WRT V24-SP2 build 14998, downloaded from BuffaloTech and build 15962, downloaded from dd-wrt.
Ok lets try this again, which build number are you CURRENTLY using.
Currently, i use build# 15962
You are aware the loopback is broken in 15778 and on correct?
Yes, I read that loopback broken but did not attach any importance to this.:smileysad:
Which build# you recommend I install?
I currently use 15704 on my units, a few things you may wanna try is disable "No DNS Rebind" in the DNSMasq options as well.
I flashed to 15704 and disable 'No DNS Rebind', but nothing happend.
No 'street magic', IPTV malfunctional ;-(
On LAN IPTV hangs after 10-15 seconds, and after 30 seconds show again and then again hangs...
But router working ok, all other conection working ok.
On WiFi +IPTV router hangs (yo can see 'ping' in router terminal window.
After start IPTV i press enter and start ping buffalotech.com from router.
Ping hangs while i not stop IPTV player.
All other connection hangs. LAN also hangs.
On this video you can see quality of IPTV IPTV on buffalo via WiFi.
Of course, i collect all system logs, igmprt debug logs, make tcpdump log of udp/igmp packets ...
Is your G300NH really work with IPTV/IGMP ?
I have the same problem. Currently I am working well with my Buffalo WZR-HP-G300N with some PC's over Wifi an LAN.
I activated VLAN 7 and VLAN 8 support which caused the IPTV to work.
Unfortunately the video is not very stable. After a few seconds it hangs but appears after some further seconds again.
Then it is stable, but the router blocks any other LAN and Wifi Traffic.
Could someone help?
>Could someone help?
I think not.
Why? Because searched the whole internet and did not find any success stories. Everything works except for IPTV / IGMP.
igmpproxy or udpxy, "User Friendly" or DD-WRT - it's does not matter: WiFi incompatible with IPTV/IGMP streaming and also LAN have some problems with freezing.
Yes, I think it's a shame.
My 5 years old D-link DIR-300 does "out-of-the-box" what G300N can't anyway: streaming IPTV on LAN and WiFi
In general, I am disappointed to purchase. I want to get comments from the official member of Buffalo's technical support.
I have problem with IPTV translation trough my WZR-HP-G300NH too. I was deeply disappointed.
Same problem , WZR-HP-G300NH Ver.1.79 (R1.03/B1.07)? - blocks multicast packets:
2011/11/06 14:45:42 FIREWALL 2 connection denied from 192.168.1.137:n/a to 224.0.0.1:n/a (eth1) ?
Yes me too. Not able to use WZR-HP-G300NH for IPTV and the same time use wireless. Any suggestions?
