WZR-HPG300NH2 DD-WRT build 17798 and WZR-HPG300NH DD-WRT build 17798 as WDS Station?

I have two routers, a WZR-HPG300NH2 and a WZR-HP-G300NH.

Previously I had WZR-HP-G300NH (build 16783) set up as a WDS-AP and the WZR-HP-G300NH2 (build 14998) as a WDS Station. I followed the FAQ’s guide and it worked fine however I had frequent connections droppings so I had to keep restarting the WDS Station to keep connection up.

As soon as the build 17798 for the NH2 was released I upgraded it, but it didn’t work. On the WDS Station with this new firmware as soon as I set it up as WDS Station the WDS and Virtual Interface´s wireless connections went like crazy them kept turning on and off continuously as I could saw it on the status pages. The only workaround for me was to switch routers, now NH is the WDS Station and the NH2 is the WDS-AP and it is working, I still have connection droppings once or twice a week, not as frequent as before.

I wonder if upgrading the NH to 17798 build will improve the connection, however because of my previous experience with the NH2 upgrading I’m afraid it will behave the same.

I would like to know if some of you have tested it already and what can you recommend to me.

Thanks.

I have those two routers in WDS mode using the "user friendly" firmwares. Uptime several months with no issues.

The WZR-HP-G300NH is using the 1.74 firmware and the G300NH2 is on the 1.79 upgraded from stock dd-wrt using the installation CD.
