Problem to mount USB hard drive from my Linux PC

Hi all

I have a problem to mount USB hard drive, connected to my Buffalo whireless, from my Lunux PC.

I have that Buffalo:

Model AirStation Name

WZR-HP-G300NH Ver.1.77 (R1.02/B1.03)

VOX

I use that command:

smbmount //VOX/disk1_pt1 /mnt -o username=<administrator Name>,password=<pass>,domain=VOX

result was

mount error 13 = Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs)

On my PC have installed Debian and Linux kernel 2.6.26-2-686

I try to find a solutions in internet and try hundred things, but no good result.

Can you help me with some idea ?

What format is the external HDD in? Have you formated it to XFS through the routers interface?

Yes I format my external HDD by routers interface it to XFS.

But that is not a important. This is a Samba.

Re: Problem to mount USB hard drive from my Linux PC

Have you tried connecting via windows or a mac? We do not support linux here so I would not know how to help you with this. But as long as you have formated the unit through the interface it should work.

Re: Problem to mount USB hard drive from my Linux PC

Hi Jotin

I try to see disk on my Buffalo whireless bia Win and all is OK.

I do my task by copi files from disk on Buffalo whireless to Linux PC by this steps:

1. Map USB disk connected to Buffalo whireless on Windows PC.

2. Download and start WinSCP.

3. Login to Linux PC and copi files from Buffalo whireless to Linux by WinSCP.

Greetings !

Vlado
