Where can I download firmware and nas nav for this older model terastation?

We have a TeraStation Pro TS-TGL/R5 That works fine with the PC and the older Mac's. My new Mac does not and finding any firmware that works seems very difficult. I must likely will buy a new unit that will work will all of the computers here. I would like to know that if I buy a new NAS without drives can I use the ones in the TeraStaion ( 4 Hitachi HDT72505 ). I at this time care who makes the NAS as long as I can use these drives.
