external harddisk HD LBU2 stops after turned on a few second

Hello everyone,

I have bought a HD LBU2 for 6 months

It fonctions normaly until today, when I turn the power on, It runs for about 5 seconds (I hear the sounds) and then come to silent.

my PC (Windows 7) doesn't recognize any external hardware.

Could anybody tell me how to check/ solve the problem?

thanks very much!

Re: external harddisk HD LBU2 stops after turned on a few second

This means it's not getting any power via USB, change the USB cable you are using and try a different PC and see how you get on.

Re: external harddisk HD LBU2 stops after turned on a few second

dear Davo

Thanks for your reply !

It is all my mistake ! I have connected the Hard-disk to some non functional USB sockets of my PC...

Since I thought the HD 'should' run whenever connected to electricity, so I thought that the Hark-disk was down.

After I reconnect the Hard-disk to those functional sockets, it works again !

Anyway thanks you for your advice ! You let me know the HD needs power via both USB and DC
