Hello support
I recently updated to firmwire 1.54 on my Linkstation LS-CH2.0TL
everything works perfect except the bittorrent client.
the client wont logon after I have typed in username and password it just keep wanting me to sign in.
I have tried to restore the Linkstation, change the password and username, disable my firewall, change the IP-adress, use different browsers ( chrome, Firefox, IE) but unsuccessful
the bittorrent worked before I updated and I dont know if its possible to downgrade the firmwire
hope you can help me soon
thanks...

Try admin for the username with no password or admin for the username with password as the password. If that does not help then you can try and force flash the firmware. If you can find an older version of firmware then you can flash your unit to that firmware as well. Just follow FAQ 2 of 5.

Quick question, I am familiar with torrent but want to use the feature on my linstation. Once I enable it, how does it know the address, details, etc? Usually I download the torrent link and then open in utorrent and presto. How does it work for the linkstation? If i doubleclick on the link, how does it know to use the linkstation and not save locally? I need to look at the interface when I get home, however I am just planning ahead. Can anyone explain?

You can actually copy that link into the add torrent windows in the Bittorrent interface or you can just download the torrent file to your PC and choose that torrent file when use the add torrent button.

Oh, that's simple. thanks! do any ports need gto be opened or any other router configurations in order to download the torrent? This will run with the computer off, correct? That is the whole purpose of doing this straight to the NAS.

Yeah, it will run with the computer off. I did not have to open any ports in my router. If needed you could make sure that UPNP is enabled on your router. If it does need to open ports it should do it automatically at that point.

I still be able to logged in and explore the contents of the drive but when I go to my BitTorrent client section it says "Access Denied.. Sorry, you do not appear to be logged in". The "Manage" button under "Account Settings>Device Settings" seems to be not also working prompting the same error message.
