TeraStationIII not showing up by name

I have set my TS3 up and I can access from all computers by the IP address I assigned it however it does not show up by name. If I go to map it does not appear in the browser or in network computers. It did set it to the correct workgroup name. Any suggestions?

What's the hostname, what's the firmware version, is it just in workgroup mode, what is are you trying to connect with?

I am not sure about the hostname or where to set that.

The firmware is 1.32

I am trying to connect on our LAN with Windows, XP, 7 & Mac OS X

Yes it is just in workgroup mode, I know nothing about the other NT or Active Directory.

If you can access it by IP but not name then its a DNS issue on your network.

One thing you can try is to simply change the hostname and see how you get on.

I set the gateway and DNS server address to the address I get when I do an ipconfig /all from any PC in the shop. Then I gave it an IP address with DHCP disabled.

Its in the web admin tool under settings, then name, and change the terastation name here.
