Switching off after removing a disk out of a RAID1 array ?

Hello,

I have a Buffalo Duo LS-WXL. It is configured in RAID1.

Here is a short summary of strange behaviors:  I had trouble to upgrade the firmware. I tried to check the RAID1 array but it never complete. After 7 day I had to cancel it.  I have  performance problem with Debian Lenny 5.0 CIFS client.  My NAS seems to never responds to some requests.

I suspect a drive problem, but I am not able to put the finger on it.

Now, I have tried to remove a disk from a RAID1 array and the NAS device has decided to shutdown. Why ? What do I have to do to restart it ?

Re: Switching off after removing a disk out of a RAID1 array ?

I would start by flashing the firmware, even if its already has the latest installed.

after this is done please and you still see an issue please contact Tech Support
