I just hooked up a new LinkStation 2tb model, and it said it needed a firmware update. I clicked the link on the admin page, and it says it is downloading the update from the internet. It seems like its taking way too long, but I don't know what it should be doing.

Any ideas?

No more than 20 minutes.

The page handling the update has probably stalled. Check with the Nas Navigator software to see if the latest firmware has been installed. If it has then you can close the web admin update window.

Your update should take about 40 minutes, assuming you have a fast Internet connection.
