Log onto the web admin page of the Linstation using its IP address, you can get this from the nas navigator.

Click Extensions => Web Access => Modify settings.

Or look at page 46 of the manual!!!!

sorry to hijack this thread, but can someone help me get a login name for my nas ??

i've got a linkstation live & when i goto the web access page, there is no Modify settings tab to click !!

i'm trying to download/open the instruction manual, but when ever i try, i only ever get a blank webpage..... so can't check there....

anyone able to help ??

You need to flash the unit's firmware. The firmware is currupt. You can download it, extract it, and run the application to udpate the unit.

Hey Jotin, thanks for the reply.

i did flash an updated firmware yesterday, to the new 1.41 version that i dl'ed from here. There was no modify tag before or after...?!??!

do you think i should revert back to the last firmware and try again ??

No I would not revert back. I would try and go to system, then restore and choose restore linkstation and let that complete. If that does not fix the issue then it is a problem with your browser version. I would either update your browser or try another browser completely.

hey, thanks for the advice.....but before i restore, do you know if i will lose all mt movies/music etc i have already copied over to my LS ??

restore didn't do anything, nor did trying a different browser......arse.....

suppose i'll have to give support a try, anyone got any good contact details ??
