When I first got my Linkstation Duo, I set up port forwarding on my router and I was able to access my files via WebAccess just fine. Now, I can still log in via WebAccess and see my files and folders structure, but whenever I try to either download or open any file, I get the error message: "Unable to download file from IP address. Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."
Now, I can also see the Linkstation via the NasNavi 2 software, but when I try to reset the IP (in an attempt to refresh it from my DHCP server), I get an error message saying the linkstation could not be found.

I can test it from this pc. What is your buffalonas.com name?

Thanks! There is a folder that any user can see without logging in. The name is Galactica_NAS .
I also figured out the following:
a) anonymous access seems to work fine
b) user-specific access (including admin) can see all files and folders, BUT
c) users cannot actually download or open any files - but they can navigate the file structure

Also, it seems that the readme.txt file I placed in the anonymous access folder will open, but the excel test file will still produce the same error.

The excel file worked for me. Do you want to give me a different type of test file and see if the error pops up?

Wow, well that is super-weird. I just checked myself and now the excel file is working for me, too. Any idea why this might have happened?

Oh, and also all the files that are non-anonymous are working now too....weird weird.
