Buffalo HD-CE1 has disappeared from Explorer

New to Forums HELP! Windows XP and 7,  HD-CE1.0TU2, s/n 95504490331792 Was working fine then suddenly dissappeared from the Explorer. Can't see it on any computer but shows up in disk manager as working correctly and everything in the USB section of the Device Manager looks correct. When I plug or unplug the USB cable, the computer recignizes that I plugged in or unplugged the correct device. Have tried power down/power up of drive and computer with and without the HD-CE connected and different USB cables. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Buffalo HD-CE1 has disappeared from Explorer

Do you need the data on the Buffalo? If not then just right click on the long horizontal bar for the HD-CE in the lower half of disk management -> Delete Volume -> wait 20 seconds (the bar will show as unallocated) -> right click on it again -> New Simple Volume -> Go through the wizard leaving all the settings as default and this will reallocate the partion.

Once done it should appear in My Computer again.
