Hello,
I have just received a new iSCSI box this morning and I have been tasked with setting it up to work with our VMWare ESX machines.
My initial plan was to bind the 2 NIC's together for increased performance, however I am also aware that I could set it up so ESX is aware of 2x IP addresses for the one box.
So I have the option:
1. Go with my original plan and bind the 2 NICs
2. Setup each NIC with its own IP address (on same subnet), and configure VMware to be aware of the 2 IP's and allow it to configure multipathing.
The iSCSI box will run 6x light disc use VM machines, as well as over night backups/VM snaphots (via GhettoVCB snapshot backup)
Not quite sure of the best way forward...!

I would bind the 2 nics. You will get a bit faster through put that way instead of the server trying to get the full speed out of two nic cards which will still be limited by the processor on the iSCSI box.

I thought as much but thought it was worth checking before I went ahead!
