Restructure disk?

Just back from a 2 week trip abroad and found my LS station (LS Pro Duo) in emergency mode. After reflashing the firmware (3.09), it came back online but now the web UI reports an error in the RAID array (1 have 2 x 1Tb disk in RAID 1). It suggests that I restructure the disk array but not sure what this will do. My Disk 1 has a check mark but the "Restructure Disk Array" button only becomes active when I also check disk number 2. I then have a warning message that data on target disks will be deleted. Does this mean I will loose all my current data or that the good disk will not be affected? Not sure what to do. Also don;t understand why I had to reflash my firmware. Any suggestion?

thanks

Re: Restructure disk?

Looks like this issue has been discussedin

http://buffalo.lithium.com/buffalo/board/message?board.id=0101&view=by_date_ascending&message.id=581...

so I understand that I should not suffer any data loss (which makes sense). Would feel more comfortable though if someone else could confirm this before I proceed....

thanks

Re: Restructure disk?

Since it has been discussed before and confirmed I will confirm it for this thread as well. During a single drive replacement RAID restructure you should not lose data. If you're receiving a message during the restructure about a target disk being formatted that would be the drive that is being replaced not the entire RAID.
