Can't log in to Web interface for Link Stations settings
« on: August 11, 2013, 02:55:44 AM »
Thanks in advance for any help.

I am suddenly unable to access the web interface for my Link Stations on my computer running Windows 7 64 bit with IE10, Firefox 23, or Chrome 29. I had been able to do so previously. I tried turning off Windows Security Essentials, but that did not help. When I enter the username and password, the page flashes for a second, but leaves me at the login page.

I am able to login in on 2 other computers running Windows XP Pro 32 bit, with any browser.

Thanks again for any help.

try clearing your temporary internet files and cookies and see if that helps

Thanks very much for the suggestion.

I tried it in Chrome (even tried Incognito mode), but still not connecting.

you're welcome,

Check your network settings to see if the are the following:

1. Your computer's IP address is in the same range as your linkstation.
2. Make sure the subnet mask is the same as your linkstation.
3. Make sure the gateway is also the same as your linkstation.

Thanks again. All are configured manually and all are appropriate.

Is the web interface java-dependent? Could it have to do with messed up java permissions on this particular machine?

It does not use Java, but if you have Java script disabled on your computer it may not work.
