VMWare Question for a TeraStation Pro, WS-RV8.0TL/R5
« on: March 09, 2012, 11:56:37 AM »
Model: TeraStation Pro, WS-RV8.0TL/R5 Firmware: 1.01 I purchased the above unit for testing WSS, iSCSI, and it’s other features. My question is that I have VMWare ESX servers that are currently using a fiber SAN for all of its storage. Will it cause an issue if I create a volume on the TeraStation Pro and attach it as another drive letter on one of the VM’s? Will I have in issue with the fiber and the iSSCI connection to the same VM or to the ESX server? Or do I need the VM completely hosted on the TeraStation (root drive for OS and a 2nd drive for storage)? Thank you,
