LS-QL with F/W 1.10
« on: January 30, 2012, 06:58:00 PM »

Ok so heres my situation. I thought i remember reading that the wd green (wd10ears) drives werent compat with this nas so after i replaced the first 3 250gb orig drives with them (without any issues) i stopped and found myself 4 wd10ealx drives. (which i thought i remembered reading were compat) so anyways i started over replacing each drive one by one. drive 1 and 2 installed fine. whenever i put the wd10ealx drive into slot 3 i get the 6 red blinking light. if i keep the "ears" drive in slot 3 and put a ealx drive in slot 4 it also works fine. Even if i take the drive formatted in slot 4 and put it in slot 3 i get the same 6 blinks of the red. Im really confused as to why each of these drives will work in any slot EXCEPT slot 3. or is it that this nas doesnt like the wdealx drives either???

any advice? thanx in advance

The 6 Red flashing lights indicate you are in EM mode.  Here is a link that will help you.
