LS L320GL Installing new HD with OS X
« on: January 23, 2012, 04:23:01 PM »

I recently purchased a new 2TB Western Digital HD to use in my Linkstation (Firmware 2.01). However, all the walkthroughs and guides seem to be for using Windows to TFTP into it and run the proper executables. Is there a way to format the drive properly and get the Linkstation to run without having to use a Windows PC? I know OS X has TFTP functionality built into it, but I haven't used it before and so I'm not sure exactly how to go about formatting the drive as needed. The device won't format a new drive by itself, will it?

Nope, apart from cloning an original HDD, you have to use windows.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
