Xbox 360 Streaming from LinkStation Duo???

Hello everyone, I have the LS-WX2.0TL/R1 Firmware 1.24 and need some help..

 

I have been searching for hours on this one... I have tried the method from this thread:

and although my Xbox 360 can now SEE the LinkStation, and see the pictures and videos within it, however it cannot play the videos. It also cannot play the music I have, giving error message about 'computer is no longer available' or something along those lines.  I can, however, access the Pictures within the linkstation over the network using the 360, and have made sure I can play the music from Linkstation using 360 Media Center.

 

I can see the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Media Center as certified DLNA on the Media Server tab in Web Setting.

 

I am now at the *6-hour* step of re-initializing my LinkStation, since I am unable to log into Twonky server I have seen some suggest (http://LINKSTATION-IPADDRESS:9050/config).

 

Am I doing something wrong, or should the LinkStation initialization fix my issues? Also, will I have to do this everytime I add new media I want to show up???

Okay... It's going on 24 hours that my hard drive has been "initializing"... checking web settings, it says:

 

"Task: 4/4 (1 Fill)

Progress: 156.07 GB / 1969.66 GB (7.92 %)

Remain Time: 461.3 Minutes"

 

What the hell is taking so long??????

Okay; The drive is available again for me to edit... Havent tried the 360, but just tested out WebAccess, and that isnt working... Clicked on an MP3 and it says "Waiting for video"... Any tips? PLEASE??

Now I am getting a media server error: "While firmware updating, Media Server update cannot be updated completely. Please click 'Restart Media Server' button after establishing Internet connection.

 

Is this a community ran forum or what? What the #)(&* do I have to do to get some **bleep** support, besides call the 24 hour hotline and be on hold for an hour?

This post is a little old but I figured I might as well reply anyways.

Try disable media server first. This worked for me.

 

Up until yesterday I had no trouble streaming movies/music/pictures from my LinkStation Pro LS-XHL with my xbox360, without my PC turned on either.

Then xbox wanted a dashboard update, I updated, and now streaming is broken.

I just updated linkstation firmware to 1.40 but I am still having problems. 

So I am searching net for solutions.

Well it has suddenly started working! I rebooted LinkStation and restarted media server a few times. Now it's working.

I can stream porn on my 50" plasma again :smileywink:
