HD-CE640LU2 not working
« on: December 29, 2011, 07:43:00 PM »

(The following applies to both XP and Win 7 machines I have tried)

My HD-CE640LU2 was working fine until last week.

Now I cannot access my backups (and I need to get to them!)

I can access the setup page for a few minutes, but after awhile, the blue light stops flashing and the unit seems to stop responding

Accessing it via the IP address gives the same screens as I got the information above.

Going into Disk Management that way and doing a disk check does the same as before. Blue light for about 45 seconds, then no response.

I have posted pictures of what files are on the drive and the properties of the drive when I attach it to my computer via USB rather than access via the network.

I remember that before it malfunctioned, I wouldn't see this sort of structure. I would see the same share structure that can be seen through the  network.

The pictures are posted to my blog. Click on the pictures there to see the detail. Let me know if you need any more information.
