HD E1.0TU2 - EU slow loading

Hey, i got my external hard drive around a year ago and this morning a problem occured

 

Whenever i enter the hard drive it loads slowly through the folders and when i play a videoclip or any one media file it lags.

 

when i try to move files from it to my desktop it transfers with a speed of 700KBS and thats way to slow than what it is supposed to be.

 

anyone heard of this problem before do i need to return to get a new one or something?

Try and different USB cable and a different PC, if the same thing is occuring then format the HDD and do a chk disk to see if there is any bad sectors on the HDD.

Occurs on multiple pc's

 

dont have another cable tho :S

 

 

Also i have started the chkdsk check now

 

(looks like it will be hours before its done)

 

also could you link me to any possible firmwares, drivers etc?

 

cause i really could not find any myself for it.

There is only one firmware (the pre installed one) and the drivers are the generic USB drivers built into Windows. See how the chk disk goes and let me know.
