Network issues with Linkstation live
« on: January 14, 2009, 02:38:15 PM »

Hi,

I recently upgraded my firmware to 2.11 on my Linkstation live 500 Gb box and suddenly all my XviD clips have streaming issues. They are so slow in streaming that I see lot of stutters on my PS3 leaving me no choice but to copy the clip to a USB disk and play it directly on the PS3. Any clues?

Thanks

HV

Hi,

Is only the XviD clips have problems?

Have you tested other video formats yet?

Hello. The same issues I've with Linkstation Live LS-CHL 1.0Tb after firmware upgrade to 1.06. Have tried some files divx and H264 codecs

Most of my clips are XviD or Divx and they are failing miserably. Mind you, these were playing just fine with FW 2.10. I have AVCHD clips that have heavier bitrates, but this box doesn't even support them.

As someone else said in another thread, "I've never had to strain myself with any other product this much"!! Enough of sleepless nights with this so called "DLNA supported box". I'm throwing this in the trash & buying QNAP shortly.

Problem resolved for most files by PS3 firmware 2.60. Issues remains with files with high bitrates - 10 Mbps and more.
