Linkstation firmware upgrade
« on: November 24, 2011, 05:36:50 AM »

Hi

Ive got linkstation with firmware 1.10 and planned to upgrade to 1.12 (presented as latest compatible firmware) but continuously get "LS-CHL that needs updating was'nt found". NAS & PC are connected via a switch, both using DHCP addresses assigned from router (also connected via switch). Tried disabling all PC security etc, but no difference. The NAS is visable on NASNavigator2 as LS-CH1.0TL-V2  (NASNav v2.18) and working well. I got the device july/aug 2009, which is making me wonder about its V2 status on the basis that other posts indiate V2 devices became available during 2010???

Ive located/read many of the similar posts and seeing references to firmware - hardware compatibility problems. Im just looking for confirmation that my hardware and proposed fw are actually compatible and if so, some pointers for getting the updater to work.

thanks

If you login to the web admin page of your device what colour is it? Blue/yellow OR red/black
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Yeah, youve forwarded port 80 instead of whatever port you need to use to access your data.

@julianjordan45:

The default port is 9000, in fact, you can use any high numbered ports unless they are used by any other devices...
