LAN2 - connecting two Teradrives
« on: November 22, 2011, 02:19:42 AM »

We have a new Terastation III and have connected our old Terastation Pro II using LAN2 but can't 'see' it.

The Pro II is configured so DHCP is automatic, and the Terastion III is set so LAN2 DHCP is enabled

The Terastation III has an address of 192.168.0.18 for LAN1 with DHCP switched off.

The Pro II picks ups 192.168.11.150 but can't be seen in NAS Navigator, & won't ping.

Can't find anything in the manual & have searched the forum for LAN2 - any ideas please?

You cannot do this. You can only hook up two Terastation 3's or higher together. The Terastation Pro 2 will not work in this fassion.

Thanks for the reply, that explains why I'm struggling.

I'll put the old Teradrive back on the network & set it as a backup target then.
