Invisible files created by Adobe programs
« on: November 22, 2011, 10:16:51 am »

I'm having a problem saving to our Terastation HS-DHTGL/R5 from any Adobe CS5 application on Mac OS X 10.6.

The share is set up as a Samba share, and I can copy files to it with the Finder just fine.  When someone tries to create a file from an Adobe file such as Illustrator, the file is created with the invisible attribute, and thus it is hidden from all views and is unable to be modified again.  This was not a problem in CS4, it is only after we have upgraded to CS5.  Adobe insists that it is not a bug, and that there might be some kind of firmware upgrade that needs to be applied.  At the moment our Terastation is firmware version 2.14, which seems to be the latest.  Is there anything we can do to try and get this working again?
