I created an icon on my deskiop to FTP to my NAS server (the only thing that works fast enough for me). It was done doing
My computer
right click blank area - add a network location
custom location
ftp://xxx.xxx.x.xx (my NAS ip) in the address box
gave it a name..put a shortcut on my desktop to it.
ALL computers are on same network for this problem:
On PC (win7), I open up a file on my external drive that is directly connected to my PC via USB
Open file
SAVE AS browse to desktop, NAS location I created above
asks for credentials..I plop them in..then I hit save and it says folder marked read only..I have READ AND WRITE for two people..I can't save it to the folder with either user
I have checked everywhere possible for the permissions to this folder and they all say READ WRITE...what did I do wrong?
