RAID1 CRASH + PASSWORD PROBLEM
« on: October 13, 2011, 12:43:31 PM »

Hi everyone,

after hours of trying i'm writing my questions in this forum, hoping you guys can help me.

As is seems one of my HDDs in my RAID1 LS-WXL 2TB NAS broke.

As is tried to access the Web Interface my password was not working anymore. I also tried the default password which also didn't work.

After installing the NAs Navigator i was able to see that my HDD2 broke. I then tried to flash my firmware to 1.54 which suprisingly worked with my password.

After flashing was done i am still not able to get onto the web interface with the password i used for flashing (which was accepted)

I would really need help with this as i also need to change my harddrive and rebuild the raid.

Any suggestions on how to reset the password on this LS-WXL ?

THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE

Best regards

Have you tried the simple password reset process?

Please switch the unit to off and wait until the lights are off.

Hold the function button for 10 seconds while it is still off.

While still holding the function button after 10 seconds please flip the switch to on.

Once the function light begins to blink release the function button and press it again for one second.

Wait until the power light is solid and this will restore your unit.

This process will not delete any data and will only restore the admin password and set the IP address back to DHCP.

If that fails, PM me and I will send you a recovery process.
