Hi,hoping someone can help - i've been having a problem for ages trying to setup my linkstation with my Win7 laptop.
I can see the linkstation on the network, and navigate the folder structures, but cant open or work with any files.
Trying to open, move, copy files hangs explorer or the application trying to access the file.
I am also unable to access the linkstation by ip address using a browser, again the browser just hangs. I have tried this with several browsers with the same effect. The browser resolves the ip address to IPaddress/cgi-bin/top.cgi but just hangs there.
I believe the linkstation is working ok, as I dont seem to have a problem on an older laptop i have which runs XP. In XP I am able to copy, paste, open files etc and am able to access the box using a web browser.
I've tried disabling the firewall in the Win7 laptop but same problem.
The linkstation is using firmware 2.11
I am connecting wirelessly but get the same problem over ethernet.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated?
