Terastation TS-XE4.0TL/R5 network speed issue
« on: September 18, 2011, 12:11:16 PM »

I can't seem to figure out why I'm getting low transfer speeds. If I'm transferring from a computer (tried with Windows 7 64bit, Snow Leopard, Lion, and Ubuntu 11.04), I'm getting roughly 18MB/s or 144Mbps. If I'm transferring a file from the Terastation I'm getting about 44MB/s or 352Mbps. If I'm transferring from one computer to another computer, I'm getting over 100MB/s or over 800Mbps. They are allo connected to a gigabit switch and all have CAT6 (I've upgraded from CAT5e because I thought the cable was the problem). I have enabled Port Trunking - Dynamic Link Aggregation and tried every Ethernet Frame Size. I have both ethernet ports plugged in to the switch. Yet I'm still getting the slow transfer speed. I am running Firmware 1.54.

What could it be? Anyone have a clue?
