Am I a LS-WVL Sucker ! ? Bought Empty Nas from Ebay ?

Just bought 2 x LS-WVL without any drives from ebay, both used. Have I been conned! i.e I will be putting new drives in (or trying to) etc. I might be crying before trying but I see very little on here about just sticking drives and voila.....lots of stuff about EM Mode and TFTP Flashing and lots of trouble.

 

Am I staring at a total loss ?

Not at all.  In a few minutes you can have fully functional units.

 

To be in the safe side, try to purchase this drives:

Just download the latest firmware and follow this instructions:

If you want you can test with one spare SATA drive before purchasing all four.

cheers for that. should know by tue/weds when 1 arrives. I have a bunch of older 7200 seagate 500gb drives (Same model) so hope that will be a valid test, also a few WD 1tb drives so will know soon enough.

cracking job. flashing with that firmware worked a treat, two blank drives and whoosh.....perfect. sorry select wrong post as solution, but all thanxs v much. So yep ls-wvl no drives is easy peasy ;)
