Little problem with LS-WX2.0TL/R1 and firmware 1.52

Hello everybody

I have just updated my LS-WXL today. All seems to work fine, BUT :

 - the red led blinks three long times and zero short times

 - NAS Navigator2 signals an "E30, an unknown error occured".

 

I don't use raid. My two drives are independant.

 

Any idea ?

Have you tried to restart the unit or possibly reset the interface?

Yes, I have tried to restart the unit (I have also powered it off and on).. Back to 1.43 and all was fine. Upadted to 1.52 again and the same problem.

I have the same problem overhere on my Linkstation LS-CHL1.0T. I updated to 1.52 from 1.43 and now the red LED is flashing and NASNAVIGATOR reports E30. It worked fine with 1.43.

I can access the harddisk in the NAS, but it is very slow.

Hi All

 

My first post to confirm that I too have same problem since upgrading my LS-WV2.0TL/R1  to f/ware 1.52 ..... have also tried 1.53 but same problem.

 

Have also gone back to 1.43 and problem goes away .... just the usual notification then to upgrade firmware so my guess is there is a problem with 1.52/1.53 firmware maybe.

 

Drive does appear to function perfectly normally in every respect with 1.52 and 1.53  except for the reported E30 code with red error 3 blinks constantly.

 

I am on win -7 and NASnavigator pops up.........   " A  problem or communication error occured with Buffalo"  message occasionally.

 

Access and speeds perfectly ok.

 

Hope this information helps the experts here to find a solution.

That's strange! I have the LS WVL and I do not have this issue. What unit's do you all have? Have you tried to reset the interface after the update? Go to system, restore/erase and choose restore.

Thanks for coming back on this but have tried restore in both 1.52 and 1.53 but error remains on reboot.

I have now updated firmware several times from the original 1.43 as follows:-

1.43  all ok but had notification to update to 1.52

1.52  E30 unknown error 3 blinking lights however all it perfectly ok functional wise.

1.53  E30           ..................................ditto..............................................................................

1.42   all ok again  apart from notification to update. ( Did not have a copy of 1.43 F/w)

1.53  E30 error all as before ..... did restore .... no change

 1.52 E30 error all as before ..... tried restore again .... no change.

 

As all appears perfectly functional reluctant to nuke the drives and rebuild array unless anyone can confirm this works.

Have now backed up everything incase this has to happen.

Infact if I put a book infront of the box to hide the red light and disable error notificatons in NASnavigator2 on all computers I wouldn't know

there was any problem...... LOL

 

May just sit it out now and wait to see if there is another update which might correct this.

I am having the same E30 error almost daily... the only way to get rid of it is to reboot or shut down / restart. Has anyone heard of a new firmware update coming?

I have seen this before too and it has been escelated so a firmware should be coming out but I don't have an ETA on it.

I just got my LS-WX4.0TL/R1? ladt week and upgraded to 1.54 immediatelly because of the compability with OS X Lion. But now I also have this error 30 Unknown error? 

 

Could this still be an issue on the firmware or would there be something wrong with my device?

Same problem.  Error e30 and flashing light. Can't find an answer and all I hear are crickets. As far as a firmware upgrade --- are we abandoned?
