When mapping user machine, NAS requires user password
« on: July 05, 2011, 12:44:02 PM »
I have set up a Link Station w/ firmware: 1.41 (DTSP-IP:1.40-20110204). Everything was working until the unit was powered off then powered back up. After power up when the user uses the .bat file to map to several drives on the NAS, the NAS now requires a user name and password. As a work around I created a generic account and the user has to enter this info to map to the drives. The NAS has joined the network Active Directory, The folder that is being accessed is one that was created and no restrictions are placed on the folder and has read write on it. What do I have to do to get this to work again. When I first installed it and set this up it worked with no issues. Thanks

Have the Windows passwords changed?

Maybe Windows passwords don't match Linkstation? passwords.

No passwords were changed, rebooted the NAS unit and everything worked ok.
