Auto On funtion - Link Station LSCH1.OTL
« on: April 13, 2011, 06:32:05 PM »
What is the best way to get the auto on feature to work with your NAS devices? I've heard that each client should be running the navigation assistant - is this correct? I don't usually have software like that running regularly and my link station never seems to turn on when I try to log into. The noise it makes becomes noticeable at night, it would be nice to leave the switch in auto all the time. Is there a trick to get this to work correctly?

It is actually having issues with the latest firmware. The way it is supposed to work is that once you have a Pc on the network power up that has the nas navi installed the linkstation will wake up. And when that PC turns off then the linkstation will go to sleep.
