What is the largest size drive supported on the LS-WXL/E?
« on: March 09, 2011, 05:49:46 PM »

My friend was considering purchasing the Linkstation Duo enclosure LS-WXL/E. He already has a Seagate 2TB drive.on hand. But the Buffalo website is silent on this specification. He asked the local distributor and they replied that the LS-WXL/E only supports only up to 1.5TB drives. He went and purchased a DLink DNS-323 instead. That older NAS supports 2TB drives on the latest firmware. Buffalo just lost a customer.

Can anyone confirm 2TB drives are supported?

We do make this unit with 2 2TB drives, so yes, it would work.

Yes, I was aware that there is the LS-WX4.0TL/R1 2x2TB model. I wasn't sure the LS-WXL/E uses the exact same firmware. The latest for LS-WX4.0TL/R1 is v1.37 while it's v1.40 for LS-WXL/E.
