Cleaning up a MEMEO mess
« on: March 06, 2011, 10:02:42 PM »

I had the memeo backup on my LS-L500gl.

Backup after back up would stop.

I ended up with multiple backups of the same thing spread over 450GB with a full drive now.

Is there a was to remove the memeo backup files? There are so many on this network drive that it hangs up my system when I try and delete them with wildcards.

Disk size doesn't display accurately anymore. I went to the BUFFALO NAS FORUM and tried to do an xfs_repair.

So many issues.

1. I am looking for a utility to kill duplicates on a newwork drive

2. a way to delete a ba-zillion DCM files...impossible to do manually

3 network drive utility program to do all this

thanks in advance

Any questions about the operation and advanced configuration of the Memeo software should be directed to the Memeo Corporation, the makers of the Memeo Backup software.

Alternatively, if you do not care about the data on the Linkstation, you could log into the web interface of the Linkstation and have the unit format the disk, erasing all the information contained on it.  Doing so will also ensure the file structure is intact, by writing a new one.

The web interface?

How do I find this?

Does this interface have other utilities?

Does Buffalo have a GUI to deal with my NETWORK drive?

Thank you for the rsponse.

This unit does not have a web interface unfortunetly as this unit is the Linkstation EZ.  You will have to manually delete the files through Windows.
