Update gone wrong.
« on: January 03, 2011, 09:49:44 AM »

Hey guys, i'm a huge newbie here!

I'm not too good at using a buffalo so please keep that in mind when you answer me :)

I've got a HS-DHGL, my firmware version is 2.10-0.5. My current laptop I am using is a Toshiba which is running Windows 7.

When I booted up my linkstation the other day it was in EM mode, so after a few hours of searching for an answer I tried to download the latest Update, but that didn't work it just didn't do anything, it wouldn't load. So I decided to use an earlier update which is the 2.10 which I found on the buffalo website, after using this update which worked and got me out of the EM mode I booted up the linkstation and tried to get into my files, but instead of my saved files the linkstation found the files already on my laptop and none of my files which I stored on the linkstation are there.

Does anyone know where they have gone? If I can get them back?

Thank you, in advance.

If you need anymore information, please ask.

Do at least the top level share folders show up?

Yes, they show up but they are empty except for the manual.
