Easy Question..Which Model? What Firmware?
« on: January 03, 2011, 01:21:26 PM »

NASNavigator shows my model number as TS-HTGL/R5, the sticker on the back says TS H0.OTGL/R5 and also TS-H1.OTGL/R5

Thanks for your response. You always have the answers.

Gurus...

OK. I found that the firmware I want is probably 1.39, but I can not tell for sure since I can't see what the current version is.

However, when I run it, it goes out to find the machine and presents a dialog box showing:

Host: TS-HTGL-EM8F1

Workgroup: (shows Unknown)

IP address:

Subnet:

Mac:

Firmware ver.: (shows - - - - ) no version number! just dashes

When I click UPDATE, i get the error:

Could not pass to the authentication.

Please confirm again admin-password of the TS-HTGL-EM8F1

Thanks again for your help.

Install 1.33 to bypass this error, then the 1.35.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Just wanted to say thanks for this post and bump for others.  I put all new 500GB WD blacks in my unit and was having this problem.  Flashing 1.33 first fixed the issue, although it came up in Japanese language by default.

i have a similar question on a TS-HTGL/R5...i have had nothing but issues accessing this POS from Win7 64bit boxes (mixed win2003/2008AD), and was hoping to upgrade from FW 1.35...website shows 1.35 / 1.39...can I assume that i will be able to upgrade to 1.39???
