I have a new LinkStation Pro LS-XHL that's connected to an Airport Extreme router. It works just fine, but only if my MacBook Pro is running. The whole idea was to be able to stream when my MBP isn't connected to the network. In an effort to stream media to other devices, I installed Twonky and I believe that's the point where the problem developed, though it was at about the same time I switched from a Belkin router to the Airport Extreme. From the results of searches I've done here, I now know that the LinkStation uses Twonky as its media server (am I correct in that?), so I'm assuming that the streaming problem has something to do with Twonky. I have not updated the firmware in the LinkStation (it's not easy...I can only run Windows in a virtual machine and it won't recognize that the LS is connected) Any ideas on how to resolve this and get the LinkStation streaming without the Mac running?
