Web Access - port forwarding
« on: November 30, 2010, 07:43:21 AM »

Hello,

Appealing to UK users I guess.

I have the Buffalo Link Station. Within the home the ipad and iphone link up to the LinkStation fine.

Outside of the home though is different. I understand that I need to change the router settings to allow access to port 9000. Has anyone set up a Buffalo Link Station or similar who has a BT HomeHub (the white one). How do you alter the port settings?

Regards

Jotin

BT support  are USELESS at port forwarding (and most other things) however there are many good youtube videos that will guide you through the process step by step.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebnetworks.com and we will get it fixed!

Correct. Spent many irritating minutes on the phone to BT. Any suggestions?

Sorry, but we don't know nor support every interface to every device in the world. If you have a buffalo router, then we can help you forward ports. Does the device your forwarding ports in have technical support so they could help you?
