New LS-VL never wakes up after sleep ! - work around is here !

Can anyone help ?

 

I have linkstation LS-VL. Fw1.36 .  Want sleep at 2:00 and wake up at 8:00 (after 6 hours).  Error mesage says sleep is earlyer than awake ! But logically it must go sleep before  awake. Othervice I  cant modify setting when its sleeping. Or I can ?

 

I also try setting sleep at 26:00 (instead of 2:00) and wake up at 8:00.  Device goes to sleep  and never wakes up next day.  Msut go to device and flip on-of-on swich to wake it up.

 

ATENTION

 

Workaround is found.

You need to set wake up time acording to japanesse time zone !

And it works.

What position do you have the switch in?  Also what troubleshooting steps have you already taken?

The swich is in ON position . Device swiches of and never comes back alive whenever   I try AUTO. Must flip on-of swich to wake it up.

I read whole manual but dont find any FAQ or troubleshoting guide on this problem - sorry.

Try upgrading to firmware 1.37.

Upgraded to 1.37

All the same . wake 8:00 - sleep 26:00.  Now is 10:00 and buffalo still sleeping like baby.  :-(  Becomes irritating .

1.Or this device doesnt do what is advertised ?

seems maybe to be a time issue across a few of the firmwares.

 

same issue is happening on in LSCHL with 1.37 FW

Also on TS-III with 1.50 -> alot of time related issues here, i'll be rolling back to 1.41.

I'll test it out on the LS WXL ver 1.37 and if I get the same results. If I do, I'll forward it up.

Same here with LS-WXL (Linkstation Mini) ans Firmware 1.37!

I upgraded to the latest firmware - I believe it is also for the latest ls-wvl - the latest faster version.

 

Not only did the sleep timer stop working but the web interface slowed to a crawl!

 

I removed the latest version and went 'backwards' - all is now fine!

Same problem with LS-XHL after update from Firmware 1.34 to 1.37. ...never waking up!!

Same problem with an ls-ch1tl. Started after the 1.37 upgrade. Should of waited. Any idea how to get the previous firmwares?

As for me, i'm just going to wait. Its no big deal to manually turn on the unit until the issue is resolved.
