I have a LinkStation Pro 500GB (LS-500GL). I have a new Western Digital 1TB Elements hard drive attached to it with a USB cable. It's formatted in XFS.

I have about 216GB of data on the LinkStation. It takes about 12 to 14 hours to run a Overwrite Backup (Differential).

That seems slow.

Is that the speed I should expect?

Thanks.

The V series of Linkstations look they are coming out soon. That would be faster replacement for your old Linkstation
