Windows 7 Buffalo LS-250GL
« on: September 24, 2010, 03:15:27 PM »

Is the LS-250GL compatible with Windows 7 Pro (64 bit)?

On my old Vista laptop, I'd gone through the registry security changes and was connecting fine.  The new laptop is Windows 7 Pro (64bit), and the old tricks don't work.

What should I do?  Any suggestions?

The unit is compatible, I am browsing our inter-office device now from a W7 Ultx64 machine.  Does the Nas Navi program locate the drive across your network is the first question.  If it does try right clicking to map a drive that route.

NasNavi sees the drives, but when I try to map, I get errors that it can't find the default share.  Seems like this is what I was getting initially with the old vista machine before I got the security settings straight.

Are you able to log into the web interface to verify the folder is still there?  Also you can download the vista patch into W7 and it will still run properly and from other users trying there there is a high success rate if you do not feel like going through to adjust the NTLM settings and other security settings
