linkstation pro as media server: bad music sorting
« on: May 29, 2010, 10:05:28 AM »

Hello I have just bought a linkstation pro 1 tera with a network player philips np1100.

There is only a problem: it play the songs from the nas in a arbitrary order!

The same thing doesn't happen if I use windows as media server, so I think it's due to the NAS media server software.

Does someone help me?

Now I know the problem, the Linkstation mediaserver can not sort in numeric order!! This is as it sorts the songs

1

10

11

12

...

2

21

22

..

3

31

...

how is it possible? Is there any solution?

The problem is in the Nas media server because the problem does not occour using windows as media server or media tomb (a pretty UPnP media server for GNU/Linux). The songs are sorted in the right way.

I have a similar issue with my Linkstation Duo (2TB) NAS - it displays all music in alphabetical order by title, totally disregarding the track number.  Did anyone ever helpy ou resolve your issue?
